That would be a resounding no, since it was brought to life by Instagram user jlord8, who utilized Jaguar photo-editing to transform the super sedan into a vicious station wagon. But if you know anything about the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, you know it’s much more than your average sports car because it was designed to be a beast on the racetrack.

The XE SV Project 8 was released seven years ago and was signed by Jaguar Land Rover’s SVO Division, which is renowned for building some really extreme machines. The manufacturer unveiled three variants of this incredibly quick automobile, with a 300 unit production limit. The initial one kept all the seats, the track-focused vehicle had sticky tires and removed the back seat, and the Touring kept all the seats and did away with the rear wing to create a more streamlined appearance.

As such, it is not at all like the majority of XE clones that are available for purchase, and as you are already aware, it is devoid of a low-revving four-pot. Not at all, because there’s a big 5.0-liter engine beneath the bonnet. A supercharged V8 engine coupled to an 8-speed transmission and all-wheel drive powers the gasoline burner. 592 horsepower (600 ps/441 kW) and 516 pound-foot (700 Nm) of torque are achievable with this model. It takes 3.5 seconds to get from zero to sixty-two mph (0 to 100 kph), and at 200 mph (322 km/h), it runs out of gas.

In addition to its unique setup and powerful V8 engine, Jaguar’s XE SV Project 8 boasts a few exterior enhancements, including an adjustable splitter, a carbon fiber hood, front and rear lightweight material bumpers, a flat underbody panel, and 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. This vehicle is capable of putting its competitors in its places. The suspension received some tweaks of its own; it is an aggressive beast with carbon ceramic brakes and an electronic active differential.

Because of this, you can only picture what a fictitious station wagon version of this vehicle would look like. After dropping the kids off at school and before the daily grocery run, its owner would have plenty of excuses to visit the local racetrack. This rendering artist’s interpretation of the dreamy sedan, with its long roof and roomy cargo area, keeps things simple. In relation to dreaming, we would have cherished witnessing the creation of such a fantastic station wagon. Regretfully, Jag determined that it could not fit one in its lineup.
