The $700K Rezvani Armored SUV for the Rich to Withstand an Impact from an Asteroid Is Called The Arsenal.

The newest model in the Californian brand’s arsenal of indestructible overlanders, equipped for the zombie apocalypse, is the Rezvani Arsenal. The new combat SUV keeps attackers armed with AR15s or AK47s (even when shot with armor-piercing ammunition) at bay thanks to optional composite armor certified at the B6 level.

Since the composite armor SUV used by the Arsenal is three times lighter than ballistic steel, it is just as durable and can reduce the body weight of the latest Rezvani SUV by more than 1,000 pounds (about 453 kilograms). According to the manufacturer, this armor is the most sophisticated armor available for a vehicle on the civilian market. Prior to the launch of the Arsenal, composite armor received only the B4 grade in civilian use.

Rezvani designers added a lot of comedy to the Arsenal in addition to replacing the bulletproofing body panels with composite armor. The car will be able to “blend in easily with others on the road” thanks to its simple design. The ultimate goal of the exterior was to stand out while blending in, to be unique but accessible.

Try handling an 8,100-pound rhino that’s powered by an 810-horsepower supercharged V8 engine. The Arsenal is not a small car by any means; at 5,588 x 2,387 x 1,981 mm, it’s 3.675 tons, 78 inches long, 220 tall, and 94 tall. The irony of all this is that, compared to other Rezvani models, the base model isn’t all that expensive, with prices starting at $225,000.

However, when optional accessories are added, the price of a fully equipped Arsenal jumps to around $697,250 (check out the configurator to see what an extra $470,000 will bring). Just think how much the executive seating and 6.2-liter V8 engine option cost – a quarter of a million dollars.

See, the AMG G 63 Elements Edition available in Australia isn’t the only luxury all-wheel-drive vehicle you can get with cool gadgets! The difference comes from other add-ons like the $2,000 Shinedown logo that projects an image on the ground when the doors are opened. The Military package adds another $145,000.

The information on the website seems pretty confusing, but the Arsenal’s basic engine is a 6.2-liter V8 that generates 420 horsepower (425 PS) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm). Three more engines are available: two more gasoline V8s, a three-liter engine with 277 horsepower, 460 lb-ft / 280 PS, 623 Nm, and an economical inline-six diesel.

Both are supercharged eight-bangers producing 650 horsepower and 605 lb-ft (659 PS, 820 Nm) and 810 horsepower and 770 lb-ft (821 PS, 1,044 Nm). The pictures on the configurator at rezvanimotors.com are misleading; both have the 4.2-liter twin-turbo Cadillac V8. Rezvani, you could have at least included a true picture of your power plant for $700,000, don’t you think?

Apart from the marketing antics (which will not be overlooked or forgiven), the Arsenal’s Military SUV Package is claimed to include bulletproof glass and body armor, underside blast protection, a smoke screen, military-grade run-flat tires, thermal night vision, electromagnetic pulse protection, or a pepper spray dispenser.

Additional options include magnetic deadbolts, electrified door handles, strobe and blinding lights, explosive device detection devices, bulletproof vests and helmets, safety survival kits (which include gas masks and hypothermia kits in addition to first aid supplies), and continuous video recording. And in case you’re wondering, a gun rack is standard.

If the description has led you to believe the Rezvani Arsenal SUV is a basic troop carrier, note the available upscale features, such as a 19-speaker sound system, NFC pairing, 22-inch wheels, park assist, augmented reality navigation, tri-zone climate control, 12-way power front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
