Unveiling the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT: 603 Horsepower and Track-Ready Features

Mercedes-AMG debuted the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, a track-focused vehicle with 603 horsepower, aerodynamic enhancements, and a performance package that turns it into a formidable racing machine, the new model will be released in the US the following year.

There was a lot on the schedule for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, with numerous Mercedes-AMG revealing new models. Seizing the opportunity, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the 2025 GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ model, a performance-focused version of the aggressive coupe that would appeal to race fans. With modifications, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 603 horsepower, 26 horsepower more than the stock GT 63.

Through the use of a completely variable all-wheel drive system and a nine-speed transmission, the engine provides power to all four wheels. This enables the coupe to reach its maximum speed of 197 mph (317 km/h) in around 3.1 seconds, from 0 to 60 mph (97 kph). In just 10.9 seconds, the AMG GT 63 Pro can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph—0.5 seconds quicker than the AMG GT 63.

A Mercedes-AMG carbon-ceramic high-performance composite braking system is fitted as standard because the performance gain necessitates greater stopping power. It has single-piston floating brakes at the back and six-piston fixed calipers up front. The largest standard ceramic braking discs that Mercedes-AMG now offers are the 16.5-inch rotors. The updated brake cover plates and the redesigned air vanes on the underbody provide optimal airflow to the brakes.

Regarding that, the experts at Mercedes-AMG have worked incredibly hard to enhance cooling across the board. For improved cooling on the racetrack, the Pro variant has two extra radiators installed in the left and right front wheel arches. The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is equipped with top-mounted radiators for the front and rear differentials as well as an active cooling system for the transfer case.

Of course, there are minor design adjustments as well, but they are aerodynamic enhancements rather than purely aesthetic ones. As a result, the front fascia became more aggressive, sporting bigger intakes and more carbon fiber air deflectors. Additionally included as standard are the AMG Aerodynamics Package with fixed rear wing, the Airpanel active air control system in the front fascia, and the active aerodynamic profile in the underbody.

Similar to the Mercedes-AMG One supercar, the AMG GT 63 Pro has more air deflectors on the underbody. Their function is to quicken the underbody’s airflow. For increased stability at high speeds, Mercedes-AMG states that the aerodynamic lift on the front axle is decreased by more than 66 lbs. (30 kg). The conventional fixed rear wing adds about 33 pounds (15 kg) of downforce to the back axle.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires are mounted on 21-inch Forged Split Spoke Wheels that are fitted to the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+. The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R extreme-performance tires are available to race aficionados at no additional cost. The front splitter, side sill trims, rear diffuser, and rear wing of the standard AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package are all comprised of premium carbon fiber, adding to the vehicle’s distinctive look.
