2024 Acura Integra Type S Touring and Track cat-back exhausts are now available from AWE.

AWE has focused on developing two cat-back exhaust systems for the Acura Civic Type R’s more refined relative. Here are the two versions: the Touring Edition and the Track Edition. Both include a full 3.0-inch frontpipe that fits the factory downpipe.

Acura Integra Type S

Acura is also important to note that the stock downpipe can yield a maximum improvement of 4 horsepower and 6 pound-feet of torque at the wheels, as demonstrated by the dyno. A dyno graph with the normal exhaust 315 horsepower and 276 pound-feet (374 Nm) of twist is attached to the photo gallery. The Acura Touring Edition’s numbers are higher at 319 horsepower and 282 pound-feet (382 Nm).

Acura says the K20C turbo inline-four engine produces 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet (420 Nm) at the crankshaft. That’s five more horsepower than Honda’s Civic Type R, which starts at $44,795 without destination charge. The Type S Integra? Before taxes and optional features like a carbon liftgate spoiler, it will be $51,800.

AWE’s exhaust systems start at $1,245 for the Track Edition and $1,695 for the Touring Edition. For a small additional fee, both versions can be customized with a chrome finish or diamond black tips. The 4.5-inch finish is imprinted with the AWE logo. There is a unique adjustment for each of the three exhaust tips to suit individual preferences.

These systems, produced at the company’s production site outside of Philadelphia, are backed by a lifetime warranty, a Perfect Fit Guarantee, and a No Sale Guarantee. For good reason, AWE does not accept returns for the Track Edition; however, an option is available: a $795 conversion kit to Touring Edition specifications.

Alternatively, you can buy a Track Edition conversion kit from Touring Edition for $395. The bolt-on exhausts, which are made from T304L stainless steel, can be installed without removing the engine mounts. Each includes all necessary hardware.

The supplied cable tie will be needed to secure the exhaust valve wire, and a valve plug simulator will need to be plugged into the valve motor connection. According to AWE, sound and volume will flatten with use. The firm recommends breaking in the aforementioned exhaust with 800-1,000 kilometers.

Acura Integra Type S

Prospective buyers of the Acura Touring Edition exhaust will be offered a drone-canceling resonator that has a small drain hole that allows condensation to escape. So water droplets just below the surface of the resonator are common.

Still, Acura’s version of the Civic Type R is one of the few compact cars that now has a manual transmission available in the US. Those looking for this type of car have the Integra, Integra Type S, Civic Si, and Civic Type R available, as well as the front-biased Hyundai Elantra N, Mazda3 Hatchback 2.5 S Premium, Toyota GR Corolla, Subaru WRX, and Volkswagen Jetta GLI.
